Mufin recommendations are not so good

I just stumbled onto Mufin and thought I'd give it a try to find some new music. Their recommendations are not helpful at all. Oh well, I guess I will stick with Last.fm.

I Need a New Show

I’ve been addicted to the HBO series The Wire since it first started in 2002. It it doubtlessly my favorite show and probably the best show on television ever. Though I could be wrong about that last part. But if you haven’t seen it a suggest you order the DVDs and start watching it and see for you self how good this show is. If you enjoy reading crime novels by authors like George Pelecanos then you have to see this incredible tv series.

Sen. Barack Obama told the Last Vegas Sun that his favorite tv show and mentioned that Omar is a “fascinating character”. I don’t want to sound like an Obama fan boy but, I’ve also always been fascinated by the Omar character. If you don’t watch the show, Omar is like Robin Hood if Robin Hood lived in the ghetto, had a gay boyfriend and was a super badass with a sawed off shotgun. This season I was even rooting for Omar to take on all of Marlowe’s people alone but I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.

But the show is coming to a final end in about 2 or 3 more episodes. So I guess I will have to find another show to become addicted to. I’m already over Curb Your Enthusiasm which I thought was an awesome show for several seasons. Now it’s just extremely silly and kind of annoying. It’s going to be hard to replace such a great show but I need something to feed my addiction.

Luckily I have already found a show that I’m becoming addicted to called Entourage. It’s about a guy from Queens, New York City that becomes a famous movie star and hires his friends and brother from Queens to move to Hollywood and be his entourage. I’ve been watching episodesof Entourage all weekend and I’m halfway through the second season now. Vincent’s agent, Ari Gold, makes the show. He is completely hilarious.

I’ve been looking around a website called disqus and added it to my Tumblr blog. Disqus (pronounced discuss) is a global comment system. Put some code on your page and you can have nice looking comments with ratings and other things. You can even log into disqus.com and track comments you’ve made on other websites or comments others have made on other websites.

It’s really cool but I can’t use it here. Since I cannot add javascript or edit the html I cannot add cool things like disqus on the wordpress.com blog. Bummer.
